Scaredy Cat feels a little bewildered! As the Travel Game draws to a close, he is at the fairground with his friends. All around him are whirling lights, a feeling of high-octane energy and a medley of noises, ranging from humming, clanking machinery, shrieking pets enjoying the thrills of gravity-defying rides, encouraging shouts of “Roll up! Roll up!” at pets passing by, to cheerful pipe organ music from a nearby carousel. His nose can pick up lots of tantalising food smells: popcorn, French fries, hot dogs with onion and mustard, candy floss and ice cream! Scaredy Cat decided to have a snack and then find something nice and quiet to do... This week we’re going to be at the fairground. Will your pet indulge in acts of derring-do and head straight for the excitement of the roller coasters, helter-skelters and Ferris wheels? Is their taste for the ghost train, or whizzing round in the Rotor stuck fast to the wall? Do they prefer vicarious thrills, such as viewing daredevil drivers performing stunts on the “Wall of Death”? Or will they opt for gentler, less scary rides such as a merry-go-round or a train ride? Of course, there are plenty of opportunities for your pet to show off their skills, such as the coconut shy, the rifle range, test-your-strength machines, archery, beat the buzzer or splat-the-rat and whack-a-mole (and don’t worry, pets, they are fake rats and moles—no animals are harmed!), horseshoe pitching and crazy golf!
