Scaredy Cat is having one of the weirdest dreams a kitty could possibly have. He watched an old television show called "The Banana Splits" and now the beginning of the show's theme song keeps playing like a broken record in his head. And to make matters worse, he's dreaming he's in space on a banana boat with bananas of various sizes floating all around him. Of course, Bob is in the dream and thinks this adventure in space is fabulous! He loves bananas! As he floats along in the starry sky, banana-flavored ice cream cones drift all around. He grabs one and happily begins to devour it. What an awesome trip! Bananas and ice cream! Talk about a great pair! All he needs is a tasty banana split and this trip will be better than perfect! Scaredy Cat takes a sip of his banana egg nog and hopes that this bizarre dream will end soon. He's experiencing a bit of motion sickness.

Banana Lovers Day is coming on August 27th and we're gonna have a challenge where bananas need to be in your entries. What a great way to celebrate a fruit that is super versatile than to have a whole week devoted to it! Bananas can be used in baking. When you eat them, you can peel it just a smidge, take a bite, peel a little more, take another bite, put it down for a few, come back and remove the rest of the peel and eat those last couple of bites! You can play a joke on someone and leave a banana peel on the floor and watch as they slip on it, launching them into the air! Eat a banana for breakfast! Make a smoothie with it! Create a boat to sail in the open seas! There's so much more besides eating that you can do with this yellow curved-shaped fruit and we can't wait to see how you might celebrate Banana Lovers Day!!
