Scaredy Cat sits at the desk pondering different words in his head. On the first day back to school, the students were given an assignment to pick a word (or two) to live by in the new year. Well....how does a cat do that? Does this word have to be something that is simple or a bit more complex? He scratches his head, trying to figure out how to do this assignment. Bob declares that this is actually easy! His word is "CUPCAKES". He thinks it's a really good idea to live by cupcakes on a daily basis. Chocolate cupcakes. Vanilla cupcakes. Cupcakes with fruity jam in the middle. Cupcakes with cream in the center. Frosted cupcakes. Big ones. Mini ones. Just bring on the cupcakes! Scaredy Cat can't help but wonder how Bob does these things so easily. He grabs a mouse cookie and nibbles on it as his brain repeats "Think...think...think...."
This week we're going to focus on a word to live by for the year. This could be any word that could make a difference in your life or a friend's life. It could be a word that might have a huge impact in a very positive way. Is your word "hope"? Hope for better days; hope for a new relationship; hope for success. Maybe the word you want to focus on is "change". Changes in your job. Change in where you live. Is "new" a word that could bring any number of new things? A new car? A new career? Maybe taking some new classes to learn a new skill is in your future? You could be like Bob and focus on a word that will bring about a smile everyday! Maybe the word "focus" is what you want to focus on. Let's talk about those words this week!!
