How to play! "It's a Pet's Life!" is a new twist on the 'Travel Game'.
To play, just click the 'Shake paws' button on another player's page!
This new game will be played about seven months of the year
whilst conventional quests (read a story, win prizes!) will take place the rest of the year. There are seven special creatures who offer your pets a variety of experiences. On clicking the ‘Shake Paws’ button, your visitor pet is invited to take part in an activity by one of these ‘trait’ pets. If you think your pet would enjoy the challenge, just click ‘Use me!’ … but if you think another pet would prefer to accept this invitation, click ‘Change’. If you click ‘Change’, you will be given a choice of your existing pets. Those which have already done well in this kind of activity are shown at the top. Bunny would like to explore. Having chosen him, we see he has already won points from three of the trait pets, including 150 ‘exploring’ points! Clicking ‘Use me!’ takes Bunny into a quest with some new features. In most of the episodes Bunny will win points, which accumulate to automatically award special prizes. You can tell what the points are for, because the associated pet is shown beside them. Sometimes the ‘trait’ pet will appear as part of the quest, too! Maybe we will have league tables to show which pet is the bravest, the friendliest, the most caring … it all depends on what you like most about the game and how the users want it to develop! Viewing your pet's dairy On the "Adventures" page, click the 'Diaries' button to see which of your pets have completed quests, most recent first. You then see a list of the quests your pet has completed, most recent at the top. Your pet's progress through life is now recorded as a series of quests. By clicking on one banner after another, you can see how your pet came to be so brave (or so caring, happy or well-fed!) So from now on we can say what Pets 'n' Friends is all about: "It's a Pet's Life!" |
