The PnF Games 2020 had ended with a winners’ parade, with the audience enthusiastically cheering the most successful performers. Some celebrating pets were happily waving Victory Branches of all colours, or carrying away gold, silver and bronze Raspberry Award trophies; and rosettes of every hue could be seen fluttering in the breeze. Perhaps here and there could be spotted a few green Turtle Trophies? Those who hadn’t been fortunate vowed to practise harder and become better at their chosen sport, be it melodious birdsong, distance swimming or all points between, for next year. They could already visualise their cabinets at home bearing champions’ trophies!

As always, after the contestants and spectators had left for home, the clear-up of empty bottles of water and dropped snacks began. Jack Puppy started to peel off his blue Argyle sweater so as not to get it dirty, as he eyed the overflowing litter bin. However, Jake the Monkey was lurking ready to assist by pouncing on the discarded bananas! Sports drinks and coconut oil were all very well in their way, but you couldn't beat a nice banana ...
