[userslide=8254275284049145082&1454457704] The yetis returned Mrs Puffball to Cousin Hamish’s humble abode, to a rousing reception. All of the Pets gathered to join in the celebrations, and even the timid Heilan Coos returned to their beloved highland pastures.
But it was Mrs Puffball, and not the highland pipe band, that held centre stage as Mrs Puffball recounted her story…for the Most Abominable Snow Woman was simply a mother in distress, unable to find her missing baby…which had crawled into a stone bowl and accidently overturned it. The stone bowl formed a snug dark covering over the little yeti, which was warm and well fed, and promptly fell into a deep sleep…
As yetis metabolisms are much slower than puffball metabolisms, it is quite common for yetis to sleep for several days after a big meal…so the little yeti was safe and content and completely oblivious to all of the drama its absence had created…
In gestures, as they don’t share a common language (unless you count the “language of motherhood”, which does not require words to communicate love, protectiveness, empathy or understanding), the Most Abominable Snow Woman, whom the Skeezle Clan subsequently renamed “Mas” (as retaining the “w” on the end of the acronym would have made her new name too difficult to pronounce), set about apologising to the Clan and stunned everyone when she bestowed a very special and unsusual gift on Mrs Puffball…
…for although little is known about the yetis, they are an ancient race, almost as old as dragons…and although they choose to live primitively, they have accumulated my knowledge and “stuff” over the centuries, for which there is very little use in their chosen lifestyle.
However, it’s no good trying to guess what Mas may have bestowed upon Mrs Puffball, because I don’t even know myself yet…but I’m fairly certain that the answer will be revealed in a future episode of the Puffballs adventures/misadventures!
