 | | Once upon a time, a fairy was playing in a pumpkin patch far to the east. But this fairy was all alone, and she wanted a friend, someone to talk to and play games with. She wished with all her might that a friend would appear.
In the morning, when she awoke, there before her---stood an adorable pumpkin with leafy legs and arms, soft green eyes and a smile that was gentle.
“Are you my new friend?” The fairy asked, rubbing her eyes in disbelief.
Ever since that time, one pumpkin in a pumpkin patch, by some unknown magic, is turned into a living, breathing pumpkin, a joyful and adorable pumpkin that can run around, play games, share a secret, tell a joke, and be a best friend to anyone feeling lonely.
