| | Danaë's name originates from the scientific genus name, Danaus, to which Monarch Butterflies belong. Danaus, the son of Zeus, is a masculinized version of Danaë who, in Greek Mythology, was Danaus's great-great-granddaughter. Isn't she a beautiful butterfly? She flits from flower to flower drinking in the nectar to help sustain her on her journeys and nourishes her for the important job of pollinating all types of plants. She embraces her work and knows it is essential to continuing life. She is a selfless and cherished member of the Phillips Pet Alliance. |
