Good morning! I have spent the night gardening…well, my type of gardening. I am keeping your garden free of pests. I get tasty bugs, snails and bits of vegetation and you won’t get your flowers eaten. Win! I work at night so you may not see me often unless you are an early riser.

Careful! You don’t want to stroke my quills. No, I cannot shoot them at you, but they are my protection and they are quite stiff. I am not up for cuddles though if you want to keep me happy and living in your garden you could leave out some fresh fruit and vegetables for me.

Rawr! Just trying out my scary voice because my name means “little lion”; though I am not frightening, I am a cuddly, friendly bundle of fluffy puppy love that will grow up to be a loyal and wonderful companion.

My days are spent learning to sit, not jump on counters when I smell something good to eat, and so much more. I get distracted easily; a butterfly catches my attention, and if I use my most appealing puppy eyes, I can convince you to play fetch with the ball on the grass.

I will learn all I need to eventually, but for now, instead of training, let’s romp through the leaves, and I know you have some treats in your pocket that I would love to snack on.

If you are climbing in the mountains you may run into a mountain goat. In Poland, there is the Tatra Chamois, with a light coat and dark stripe down its back, dark facial markings and elegant backward-curved horns. There is the Carpathian Goat, which is almost all white. The Chamois Coloured Goat is also found in Poland.

Nimble-footed, able to climb seemingly impossible places, where most of our pets would shake their head at attempting. Being high up keeps the goat safe as they can see a threat before it can get too close.
