With silky grey fur and intense yellow eyes, the cat slips like a shadow through towns and forests, soft feet soundlessly padding along rooftops. It peers through windows and open doors, climbing to the highest heights to survey the surroundings. Pausing only to wash its face with tired paws, this cat is on a journey to find something special.

This is the story of the four brothers. There was a kind and brave brother, a jealous brother, and the younger, silly twin brothers who were, in fact, perfectly nice, if not a little goofy. The story goes that the jealous brother wanted to be admired like his older, more courageous brother or adored like his younger twin brothers. He hated being in the middle, over-looked or always in trouble. The only way he thought he could get what he wanted, which was for people to notice him, was to seek out the favor of an old witch. And, well you know how these stories go. He was tricked by the fine print. Now the four brothers live together, fighting for control of their single body. And, the jealous brother? He still lives in his brothers shadows, stuck in the middle. There’s a moral to this story, I think.

I am a fluffy, curious, intelligent bundle of energy known as a Snow Monkey, also known as a Japanese Macaque, and I am native to Japan. I live further north than any other primate except humans.
In the winter, it becomes cold. My fur grows denser to prepare for the winter, but you can still find my family members and me hugging close to share body heat. Do you see that over there? That is a hot spring. During the day, you will find my family and me soaking in those warm waters. It sure feels good to ease the aches, with the added benefit of keeping us warm.
I am an excellent swimmer. Would you care to join me? We can have some food after our swim. I am not a fussy eater; I am an omnivore so whatever you like to eat is fine. Then after we eat, we can roll snowballs. Oh yes, we love to play with snowballs or rocks. See my siblings over there; they are bashing rocks together; I think they like the sound it makes.

Yes, I am poisonous to the touch and that is bad news, but there is good news. If you want to have me in your life, it is simple, provide me a home, and feed me crickets and fruit flies.

The poison comes from the insects I eat out in the wild and those insects have been nibbling on poisonous plants, so if you don’t feed me those types of insects I will be safe to have as a friend. This might be the start of a never-blue friendship.

Hello! I am tingling with excitement at meeting you. Do you like my laugh? It sounds like tinkling bells; I laugh a lot. When I am with other snowflakes we can produce quite the choir. We are going to have so much fun. I would love to help you build snowmen or join a snowball fight.

Speaking of being scared, have you ever gone ghost hunting? It's one of my favourite year-round activities! Some pets say ghosts are more active in October, especially at Halloween, but I think that's just a silly rumour to make the month seem more scary. Oh - I was on my way out to look for ghosts right now, would you like to come?

I come into your dreams—violet wings carry me dancing and twirling in graceful arcs—under and over the silver clouds. Flashes of white from the eyes on my wings reflect back the moon’s soft glow. With wings that hold the colours of the aurora and a body of thick, soft, sparkling fur—this little bear is unique. Of all the bears born in the winter, one will not grow as big as the other young bears. This bear will emerge from the cave as a fairy. Why does this happen? No one is sure, but the winter fairy bear brings joy to all the creatures not tucked up sleeping in their winter homes and sweet dreams to those that are.

If you are walking in the woods and see this little bear flying around the trees, stay very still; you may hear it sing a song, and its voice will remind you of the soft tinkling of ice, but the words will warm your heart.

Unlike most toys, which are crafted in Santa’s workshop, Ruby Ragdoll was a handmade gift to a little orphan girl named Scarlett. The only family Scarlett had in all the world was her elderly grandmother, who worked on creating Ruby Ragdoll. With fabric scraps and strands of yarn, she carefully crafted Ruby Ragdoll’s head and body. She used yellow yarn to give Ruby blond hair just like Scarlett’s. She embroidered Ruby’s nose, mouth, and eyebrows. Ruby’s eyes were black crystal beads. Scarlett’s grandmother dressed Ruby Ragdoll in her red Christmas outfit, wrapped her in a gift box, and put her under the tree

Ever since she was a hatchling, the milk chocolate turtle aspired to make her world a more beautiful place. The pond she grew up in was fringed with green sedges and towering brown cattails, framed with birch and aspen trees. The verdant landscape was sketched again in the pond’s clear crystal waters, so the little turtle didn’t know how she could improve a world that was already so beautiful.

Inspiration came one day when a radiant rainbow arched over the pond. The young turtle realized that, although her pond was beautiful, it lacked the splendid colours she saw in the sky. Armed with a new sense of purpose, she crawled across the landscape in search of ways to bring colour to the pond. After many long, arduous treks, she returned with seeds and bulbs for pink and yellow water lilies, blue flag irises, and orange wood lilies, which she planted and tended with care. In time, the pond exploded with a panoply of colour that rivaled even the rainbow, and themilk chocolate turtle was filled with joy as she gazed upon a world that she had made more beautiful.

I have visions of grandeur. In my mind I am the trusty steed of Sir Prancelot, but in reality, I am simply a horse with an enormous amount of enthusiasm. Knowing this I will be faithful, speedy and obedient, going wherever you want me to take you.

Hello there, traveller, welcome to my meadow. I hope you'll rest and enjoy the cool breeze, watching as it sends ripples through the tall grass. I'd love to have someone to chat with for a while, pets often pass my meadow quickly to reach their destination. They don't pause to smell the flowers and enjoy the scenery I call home.

Once there was a little bunny who loved to wear a red cape given to her by her dearest grandmother. She liked to skip along a stony path, carrying treats, on her way to grandma’s house. Scratch that -

She had a foe to tame and it was clear to her, she had to pull off the greatest trick ever sold. She worked all day and into the night, getting that wolf costume … just right. Beneath that sweet fuzzy gray and white exterior, she waited with a razor sharp grin and a malevolent eye to do her bidding.

There he was, just where he always sat, that evil, vile, terrible …. Wolf! She crept up to him with a whimper and he was welcoming.

“Are you tired, lost? What can I do to help, I’ll give you all I can.”

With a rumbling purr she replied, “Why yes. You see, my grandmother was taken and I am all alone and hungry. So hungry. I am hungry for you!” And, she leapt...

Sshake, ssshake, ssshake, all day long. Sssay, hi there! I am just on my way to meet my band. We do a concert most afternoons. Oh thisss,shakes rattle, thisss is my rattle, no need to worry about it. I understand some snakes have a reputation, but I use my rattle to make music. I don’t have to pack my instrument, it is always with me, and I can shake it with the best of them. Shakes rattle.

Where did my hiss go? To tell you the truth. I only hiss when upset, but tourists expect me to talk with a hiss, so I play up the snake accent.

Why, hello there, my dear PnFer! So happy to see you, are you here for the show? I put them on regularly, but for you, I can arrange a private showing. Just give me a moment to clear out some space, as I am sure you want to see the full effet of my plumage. A few of my feathers got a little banged up in my flight over today...... what's that? You didn't know I could fly? WHy, of course I can, I *am* a bird, you know. Where was I? Oh yes, my gorgeous plumes. Irridecent and spectacular, aren't they? Why, I have provided feathers for royalty, heads of state and others for quite some time. I just shed them out from time to time so they can then be turned into hats and jackets, why the use for these gems is only limited by your imagination! Here I go, are you ready? Alpha Centauri is home to a most unique and lovely creature, the Stardust Unicorn. Gentle in demeanor, graceful in flight, curious and mischievous, the Stardust Unicorn roams among the stars.
Although their exact origins are unknown, the gleam of stardust on their blushing pink coats speaks of sipping moonlight, and basking in the wake of a passing star shooting through the sky.

We are the crabs of summertime, and we each have a particular time of day or place where you will always find us. We walk sideways, which may confuse you initially, but we always get to where we need to go. We love fun and sun and sand and surf. Join us as we play under the summer sun.

I am the Sunrise Crab; you will find me standing on the sand waving as the sun rises above the horizon, signally the start of a new and fun-filled day. It is the best part of the day for me; I never miss a sunrise.

If you see any treasure inside just ignore it, we collect treasure we find while mining and digging out new homes and we use the treasure to take care of all the animals. I just came out of a toasty oven which warmed me up nicely because it is cold outside, and I am ready to be decorated. All you need to do is assemble your favourite candies and make some icing, and maybe if you want to take a walk with me outside, throw a scarf around my neck.

When I was a young bundle of tawny feathers, I danced for the sheer joy of playing. Now that I am all grown up, I will still dance. I will dance to form a bond. I will dance to strengthen that bond through the years. I will dance and call to communicate if I want to be left alone or if I want to play.

The Red-crowned crane, with the scientific name of Grus japonensis, is one of the largest birds in the world, standing at 158 centimeters (5 feet), with a wing span of 2.5 meters (8 feet). Whew! You can see it, right? The little pink flower on top of my head. I have been growing in this pot for a long time. It is the perfect size for me. Set on a window ledge, soaking up the sun's warmth is pure bliss, and every now and then, a sprinkle of water keeps me hydrated.

Sometimes, I am placed outside where I can feel the breezes and enjoy the sounds of birds. I am happy, as happy as any little cactus could be. It is rare for a cactus to bloom, it can take a very long time, sometimes as much as 50 years, or it may never bloom.

I have put a lot of energy into that pink bloom. I would accept a hug, but my little prickles may tickle you; they keep me safe from bugs that may see me as a tasty snack. I hope to be able to bloom again for you one day.

Sometimes, I am placed outside where I can feel the breezes and enjoy the sounds of birds. I am happy, as happy as any little cactus could be. It is rare for a cactus to bloom, it can take a very long time, sometimes as much as 50 years, or it may never bloom.

I have put a lot of energy into that pink bloom. I would accept a hug, but my little prickles may tickle you; they keep me safe from bugs that may see me as a tasty snack. I hope to be able to bloom again for you one day.
