The weight of his bad reputation was the one thing which Brutus could not lift. Having sought to prove he was better than all the females, he found not only did this fail to impress them, it actually made them hate him. He finally realised his problem was not being unable to lift as much as some of the girls, it was being unable to admit it. They didn’t hate him for his lack of strength, but for his weak character.

So when the Power Pets Sports Club changed its ways, Brutus went on Missy’s News Network to publicly confess his faults and implore others not to follow in his pawsteps.

To his astonishment, this won him admiration. Now he has become a champion for diversity, and rejoices when a badger from a disadvantaged sex, sett, clan or club manages to beat him. He has become the best of sportsmen. He now tries hard only so the glory of beating him can be all the more genuine.
