The Nile Crocodile symbolized royal power, fertility, fear and protection to the Egyptians. Considered the fastest crocodile in the world at speeds of 35 kilometres per hour, 19 to 22 mph. Quick, make friends with this interesting creature. Oh look, the crocodile is smiling.

Oh yes, I was important to the royalty of Egypt, but I am a bit busy today and can’t stop to talk unless you want to join me in my rounds. Do you? I usually set out quite early in the morning, to survey my land and see that all is well. I don’t like garbage strewn about and things left to form a noxious haze. So, I clean up every day. It seems to me that cities could use a few of my brothers and sisters. I should talk to them about forming a contract with you.

Ocelot Kitten’s eyes, which were closed for eighteen days after she was born, just opened two days ago. So many amazing things to see in her Brazilian rainforest home. Bright coloured pretties that smell so sweet, but don’t taste that great. Mama calls them flowers. Bright things that move in the air and make all kinds of noises, some scary and loud, others musical like songs. Ocelot Kitten knows that those are called birds. Wet stuff with flashing things is water and fish. She is learning fast.

Mama goes out at night, prowls amongst the trees, and climbs high into the canopy. Last night, Ocelot Kitten went with her. So much running and climbing, so many new things to see, hear, smell, and taste. Now the sun is up, and it is getting hot in the rainforest. Mama is resting in a shaded tree branch. With a tummy full of warm milk and memories of many discoveries, Ocelot Kitten has drifted into slumber as colourful rainforest creatures fly, run, and swim throughout her dreams.

Join me in shenanigans, tomfoolery, and pranks. April Fool’s Day, everypet should expect some tricks to be played, as long as they are in the spirit of good fun.

Many of you will recognize me as the mascot of a certain fruity cereal, but I am so much more than that! My long bill is used to help me perch on a tree branch, and reach for delicious fruit on other branches that are too small to support my weight. It also helps me to reach deep inside of tree holes to reach food that other birds cannot get to.

I generally live in tropical and sub tropical regions such as the rainforest. I love the warmth and feel like I'm at a tropical vacation all year round. Aren't I lucky? Who wouldn't want to live in a rainforest? They are so pretty!

As a fruit eater, I disperse fruit seeds throughout the forest. So not only am I pretty to look at, but I'm also needed to help sustain the ecosystem of the rainforest! I rock!

Hahahehehahahahe! Did I startle you? Did you think I was a human laughing? No, just me, the Kookaburra. Now the question to ask is, was I laughing, or is this the way my call sounds? I would hate for you to not be able to join me in a good laugh, which I enjoy as much as any pet. Alas, this time I was calling to see if there were any more Kookaburra in the area.

I am a cat who can fly, an owl who has nine lives. I am an Owlcat who can climb a tree, roost in its branches, fly to the next tree and always find the sunniest places for another nap. With a tail to wrap around my nose to keep it warm, ears that hear every sound and eyes that won’t miss a single movement. Am I a new type of animal or one you have just never met before?

When a pirate makes you walk the plank and you plunge into the sea, come up and take a gulp of air and sing along with me. I know some charming shanties, and this might be a shock, but I even know some modern songs; I'm awfully fond of Rock!
My dazzling smile will greet you when you take that too long walk. I know we'll get on swimmingly; I'm your friendly welcome Croc.

I am all ready for my starring role. I can mimic any voice, so I make the perfect understudy. I do the best voiceovers. If you need a train whistle? I’m your bird. Need me to call your boss and book you off a sick day—call on me to get the job done.

Have you guessed what I am yet? I am a Galah, a rose-breasted cockatoo. I am super friendly and love to learn new tricks, making me a great stunt bird. What I don’t like is being left alone. I get lonely, and I love lots of attention, like any star.

I would be pleased to join your pet family. Oh, the fun we will have and the tricks we can play.

Beauty can be found anywhere, and these fluffy little birds prize the beauty spots on their fluffy cheeks. They are so taken with them that they coo and cuddle each other and let other pets know that their beauty spots are where it’s at. Will they start a new trend? Only time will tell.

Rawr! Ahem! I don’t have my rawr yet. I am too young, but I am practicing. Will I breathe fire? That isn't very likely, as I am not a fire-breathing dragon but a cloud-breathing dragon.

When I watch my parents fly over the mountains, they breathe out this lovely purple cloud that encircles the mountaintops and creates an air of mystery. I am told that creating mystery is our prime job as purple dragons. I asked my parents why, and they said that to know everything is boring and that life is more exciting with mystery in it. I can't wait to grow up and make mysteries.

DARLING! How are you?! *kiss, kiss* I’m FAB-ulous! I’ve joined the ranks of the super stardom! I”m all over the galaxy! Did you see my name on the marquee? The likes of Moodonna, Eelvis, Share and Prints are jealous of my galactic stardom! I am on every A list, and I just don’t even know how to manage my social calendar anymore! Everyone who’s anyone wants me! I have writer’s cramp from signing autographs! Even my assistant needs an assistant! But you have to admit, STAR-dom looks good on me!

Hummmm… Bzzzzzzzz… If you are outside cat-napping on the porch and hear what sounds a bit like a bumblebee, have no fear; it’s only a little hummingbird. I’ve just stopped by to have a few sips of the perfectly sweetened sugar-water in the feeder. Thank you for not putting any coloring in it. I prefer it that way; nectar in flowers is clear and it is better for my health to have a natural diet. Due to the rapid beating of my wings I am in constant need of sugar for energy and I have the unique ability to turn nectar into fuel within thirty minutes.
I like my sugar-water to be clear but that doesn’t mean I don’t like color in other places, like my beautiful feathers. My exotic coloring is in vibrant shades of indigo, ranging from vivid blue to ultraviolet, and is accented by my stunning teal tail feathers. And I just love the way my feathers look iridescent in the sunlight. My beauty goes much deeper though. I am a very thankful bird and I will remember where your feeder is after my long migratory flight back from Central America. I will stay in your yard all summer and even bring my babies to see you and show them how nice you are.

Wow, are you following me? I bet I know what you are doing. When I am shedding, as I walk through the woods bits of my under fur get caught on branches and that is the softest, warmest hair imaginable. The hair left behind on twigs and branches is called Qiviut and is much sought after for knitting warm sweaters. Help yourself to any you find.

You spotted me again! Get it? Spotted? It is a glorious day to be out and about in the garden. I just came from a beautiful patch of dandelions. Now I am headed over to a lemon tree that I heard need a little pest control. After that, if your pet is still nearby, I propose an exciting game of hide and seek. I must warn you though, even with this shiny shell, I am quite adept at hiding.

Yay, clear skies! Hang onto your hats folks! I’m coming in like a wild bunny at top speed. I heard a bag open and we all know what that means. I’ll race around your legs and hop and beg and run and spin and dance. You see, I am rather happy. And when bunnies are happy, we binky. Oh, sorry about that dust cloud I kicked up on my way in. You may want to vacuum more.

Bother! Clouds again. Sniff sniff sniff! I think I smell some treats over there. My nose is twitching with excitement. I can barely contain myself with excitement. I know you will be kind enough to share. I will sit here and look oh so pretty. Head turned up, ears back, who can resist me? Sniff sniff, yes I think that is fresh organically grown curly parsley I smell.

I see you! Do you see me? I lurk in the waters, staring out at my world, but sometimes only my eyes are visible to you. No, those are NOT large rocks that you see in the water…that is my backside, thank you very much!

I like to be in the water or mud during the day, because it helps me stay cool in the hot African sun. I’ll come out during the dusk and night so that I can spend a few hours grazing on the grass, my food of choice.

I can weigh close to 3,000 pounds, or even over that. This makes me the third largest land mammal in the world! Because of our size, other animals are less likely to see us as food, which is definitely a good thing for us! In Africa, we are aggressive animals and are not afraid to fight even others of our species. But take us to live in PnF and we promise to be good!

If my soft warm brown eyes don’t melt your heart, then my silky golden fur and my lovable nature certainly will! I plan to be your faithful companion and best friend, leading you all around PnF Land, and sniffing everything in sight for you, seeing as your own nose is a little inadequate for such an important task! Then…when we return to our Pet Page…perhaps you could bring me my slippers and a nice juicy bone…just to show me how much you appreciate me…?

Oh boy! My friends Fox and Bear have joined me at the frozen pond—on this glorious winter day. I love to skate, and I am so happy when the pond freezes over. I spend most winter days here on the pond, and Bear has asked me to help him with some ice-skating lessons.

I have my new yellow skates—as bright as the sun—and my grandmother knitted me a yellow scarf.

I love the feeling of pushing through the air, and when you feel the time is right, you leap and twirl and land gracefully. Why don’t you and your pets join us on the ice? I can help you so you can enjoy the wonderful wintertime sport of skating.

Am I not one of the most beautiful big cats you have ever laid your eyes on? Speaking of eyes, one look at my baby blues and I will have you under my spell and into your heart. Not only am I beautiful, but I am also the gentlest of the big cats. So cuddle right up beside me and let my deep rumbling purr soothe all your troubles away. We also have many other familiar big cat vocalizations, but I bet you didn't know that we can't roar! We love climbing over rough, mountainous terrain and are quite content living there. Our white fur and black spots are perfectly designed to help us hide amongst the rocks, so unless you are a Himalayan blue sheep, you most likely will never see us in the wild. Even though you may not see us, we still need your help. Our numbers are decreasing so please do what you can to help us survive.

Hey! Over here. Hello. I was going for a walk. I am new to the neighbourhood. Oh, yes, usually flamingoes hang out in large groups, but I got tired of all the noise. It happens. I was talking to a friend, and they suggested I visit PnF land. I prefer quiet and standing still for hours, thinking important thoughts.

Why thank you, I like my hot pink colouring. Carotenoids give carrots or brine shrimp—which I love—their bright colour, causing my feathers to turn bright pink.

I hope we meet again; I have decided I like this place and will look for a suitable home.

I'm a sweet cuddly colourful baby bunny. All I need is love. And carrots. Delicious, crunchy carrots, om nom nom!

This sweet raccoon cannot jump or run very fast but can climb well and is also a master of solving problems. With clever paws that can work doors and locks, the raccoon will not be deterred. Other pets could take some lessons on determination.

Grey unicorns are not grey all over. Their tails and manes are often a whole variety of colors. That's why they are called grey; grey is the only color they all have in common. They have posed for My Little Unicorn, but to date they have been overlooked in favor of beasts with brighter colored coats.

I've only just got my fur! Isn't it a beautiful shade of grey? I'm very small and the world is just a little bit too big and scary at the moment, but if you just give me a cuddle I'm sure I'll be all right.

There’s more to life than running around playing. Though her siblings were happy enough barking and play fighting, this little pooch sought out those who were sad and hurting, wanting to be by their side, sharing the hard times along with the playdays, making deeper and longer-lasting friendships. This slightly sassy, but oh-so-sweet chocolate puppy needs a home and you just might fit the bill for perfect puppy parent! Your chocolate puppy requires lots of belly rubs and long walks in the park chasing butterflies and tennis balls, squeaky toys (preferably filled with peanut butter!), and oodles of snuggles, especially on chilly nights. Love this little chocolate puppy and be rewarded with chocolate puppy-breath scented kisses for years to come.

I live in one of the most amazing places, Alaska. There are plenty of fish, which I love, especially salmon, and there is no shortage of places to make my den for the winter. I am not quite like you, I make a new den each winter and enjoy the most marvellous sleep. Would you like a tour of my favourite fishing place?

Foxes are swift and agile - and we're sneaky, it's true. Need to get in and out of a hen house? I'm the one to call. I can help you devise a plot to sneak a chick out on a date without her family catching on. If you need help, I can lend a paw. At least I will if my paws are not busy building something I've dreamed up in a moment of inspiration!

Sea cow? Cow? I’m no cow! I may be big, but please don’t call me a cow. It isn’t polite. I prefer to think of myself as a graceful aquatic mammal who just happens to weigh up to 1300 pounds. I move quite slowly, but that is so I don’t miss out on anything. I am very curious, and if I was speedy, then I might not see something awesome, like that pretty plant over there! I am mostly a vegetarian and my stomach is built to digest tough plant matter. Oh how yummy ocean and sea plants are! I tend to be a loner, but I’m not really lonely. I just prefer my own company over the company of others. This way, I can dance, and twirl and spin in the sea without anyone watching! Oh, look - something shiny! I think I’ll (slowly) make my way over there to investigate. See you later!

The nimble little feet of a fox can dash and weave in and out around obstacles. Playing a game of tag with this sweet fox would be so much fun and a challenge. Plus this little fox will give your pets a workout that can only improve their stamina.

I am king of the jungle and proud to say so! Lions are quite social compared to other big cats, and we lions live in prides. Did I say 'pride'? I am vain and I will flaunt my bountiful mane around other males, so that they know I am the one who is King.

I will admit though, I am quite lazy, and while I spend almost 20 hours of the day sleeping, I make sure the females are out hunting for the rest of us! But hey, I’m allowed to be whatever I want, right? I am King, after all!
