This good-natured bear doesn’t mind where he is or what he is doing. What matters is who he is doing it with! Every experience others seek after is something he longs to share with others. There’s no fun for him in climbing a mountain alone or tasting the finest food by himself. All his joy is in good talk, shared laughter and hearing new ideas. Since Jolie's owner Charlie was found to be living in a cardboard box, some kind people from Straight Street in Orlando got together and bought him a self-assembly thatched cottage for one man and his dog. When you've been used to hugging your knees whilst your cardboard box gets beaten to a pulp by a hurricane, a home like this seems like the grandest thing in the world. Callers are always welcome, especially if they have nowhere else to stay.

Whoooo fed me that? That pie is so incredibly tasty! Those fresh cherries in that buttery flaky crust are absolute perfection! My favourite day is any day where the sky is clear and the sun is shining bright in the sky. I love to flitter among the blossoming flowers and rippling tall grass, the light breeze warming my wings. Basking in the sun is the most relaxing part of my day - and it lasts all day!

Every granny has a tin full of buttons. Her mama taught her to be very frugal when she was young. Whenever an article of clothing wore out she cut off the buttons and put them in a tin container. There is an old yellow bear, you may have seen him walking around town, but you have surely seen him when you attend the PnF sporting events. This old bear loves sports, and even though he cannot participate as he did in his younger years, he loves to raise a paw and cheer on the participants while yelling out, “Reach for the stars.”

Did you know that we flounders can change our colours to camouflage ourselves when lying right on the bottom of the ocean floor? How cool is that? Can you spot me blending into my environment? Maybe a honey-tasting event; that is one game this old bear could participate in.

Pet say the view from the top of this mountain is one of the best in the world. Whether or not you agree depends on how much you enjoy low-hanging clouds.

It’s all very well for other pets to hide under trees when the rain falls. I can’t! Well not under little ones. So one day I’m brown yellow brown yellow brown, and the next I walk right through a rainbow. Like wow! I’m so glad to be unique!

Let me tell you a story, it’s a short story, and won’t take very long. There’s this dragonfly by the name of Joy and boy Oh boy does Joy bring…well…JOY! One day the intrepid local reporter wanted to interview Joy, ask her where she came up with all that good cheer – was it sunbeams? Was it six Zipping Zingers a day?

Joy laughed and laughed and said, “Oh no! It’s not those things, well, it is those things, but not my favorite things. My favorite things are the purple rocks!”

“The purple rocks?” The reported asked, very confused, for he knew of no purple rocks in all of PnF Land.

“Sure! I’ll show you.” And she flew. And, he followed, glad the tank on his wingpack was full.

She chattered on, “Wait until you see them. They’re just over the Summer Hill, where the land meets the sea, on a stretch of the prettiest violet sands. Mama said once, ‘those rocks just like Joy’s Eyes!’ when I showed the family!” (Do you see that Joy is also Quite the talker?!) She explained, “So many think that my eyes are black, but really they’re purple, they just need a little bit of sunshine to light them up! And, don’t we all? That’s all we need, a little bit of sunshine!”

And lo’ and behold on that day, on that hidden violet-sand beach, the Joy’s Eye Gem was ‘discovered’, in piles and strips of glowing deep purple beauty, as abundant and beautiful as Joy’s JOY in giving.
